- No hauling or burning of limbs and brush after land is cleared
- Trees, brush, and limbs are chipped as the area is cleared. The chipped material is absorbed back into the ground as mulch.
- No damage to the root system of surrounding trees
- The Gyro-Trac has only 3.5 psi of ground pressure. There is little ground compression and the roots of the trees around the area being mulched are not damaged.
- No permitting is usually required for the brush and tree clearing
- The Gyro-Trac can clear small tracts of land and mulch the trees, brush, and limbs. Permits are usually not needed for the land improvement and there is no need for a burn permit because there are no piles of debris to dispose of when the Gyro-Trac has cleared the area.
- No rutted dozer tracks on the land after the work is done
- Due to the low ground pressure of the Gyro-Trac and the "flotation technology" of the tracks there are no unsightly ruts left on the ground. The Gyro-Trac will leave the land undisturbed as the trees and brush are removed and left as chips to help avoid soil erosion.
- No pile of brush and limbs after the acreage is cleared.
- There will be no piles of brush to burn. In Lane County much of the land in the urban growth boundary requires you "chip" any debris after clearing land. LRAPA (Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority) is moving towards less burning each year. Oregon has had issues with burning for several years and it is getting more difficult to get a permit (and sometimes expensive) to burn piles.
The benefit of the Gyro-Trac can only truly be appreciated by watching the video. It really is hard to describe the brush that this machine can mow down. If you view the video page we have several clips that will give you a small glimpse of the capabilities of this machine.
What you get is trees, brush, and limbs chipped and blown back down on the land as mulch. You can drive on the area immediately after the Gyro-Trac has finished clearing an area.
The Gyro-Trac has a unique under carriage system. It is a patented Captive Track system that has "flotation technology". The tracks mold to the ground as the machine moves forward. This allows the weight of the machine to be distributed over the track and results in less than 3.5 psi of pressure on the terrain.
Can remove dead trees and clear brush around your home. Use the Gyro-Trac to clear your property and it could increase your land values, enlarge useable land on your property, enhance your scenic view, decrease fire danger, and improve your fire evacuation route.
All equipment is sanitized of evasive materials after each job. Sanitization of equipment prevents spread of evasive materials from one site to another.
There are other mulching machines on the market but they don't compare to the GT-25. The "skid steer" is a machine built to move rock. It has been adapted to clear brush. The skid steer has 30% more psi (pounds per square inch) ground pressure compared to the Gyro-Trac and the skid steer is very limited on the terrain it can maneuver on. If the ground is too wet, too steep, too rocky, or the brush too large the skid steer is not able to accomplish the job. The skid steer has a smaller horsepower engine and is normally limited to material five inches and smaller. If you have a six inch oak it either stays or you pay the added expense of having someone else come in to remove it. If you have any ground that is wet, steep, or any section of it has brush over four inches the GT-25 can serve you better. Even on lots that have smaller sized trees we can often do the land improvement at less cost because we are able to do it faster.
